My Background

Catherine Headshot_edited.jpg

Catherine studied at Endeavour College of Natural Medicine and then completed an internship in Guangxi University, China. After graduating Catherine worked in Brisbane’s foremost Natural Fertility Clinic, Conceive – Natural Health and Fertility.

In September 2019 Catherine re-located to the Sunshine Coast to be closer to her family and established Caloundra Acupuncture. She has never been happier and loves the beauty and lifestyle the coast has to offer.

Work with me

I am passionate about working with Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to assist people to feel better and improve their health and wellbeing.

My approach in treatment is to first take a detailed history. This means you get to tell me your story, in your own words and explain to me what your body is doing, how you are feeling and how your condition affects you and your life. No one knows your body better than you do. Chinese medicine treats the whole body, mind and spirit as all are connected and may be contributing to your symptoms. My goal is to use all that Chinese medicine has to offer to assist you, which besides acupuncture may include cupping, Chinese herbal medicine, dietary, exercise and lifestyle advice, so you achieve your goals towards better health.

After listening your history, you get to relax on the table whilst the needles do their work (approximately 30 minutes).

Whilst you are on the table, I will create a treatment plan for you, based your health goals and what acupuncture and Chinese medicine can do to help you achieve those goals.

For your first session, I set aside 60/90 mins, so there is plenty of time to listen to you and plan a way forward. Subsequent visits are 45/60 mins, time to report any changes, things that have improved or gotten worse. All sessions include an acupuncture treatment.
